Sunday Arrivagot all about Kansas

Pulled into the Grand Teton Lodge about mid afternoon. Glad to see Jeff, glad to have a nice cottage, glad to have such beautiful scenery. Forgot all about Kansas.

on to the Tetons

left Craig, CO on a sunny, cool morning. Drove straight to Tetons. The entrance to I80 in Wamsutteh, WY is gravel road with a cattle guard. Try to out run 18 wheelers with that start.

Colorado to the end

today we drove through Denver then over the Rockies and north through Steamboat Springs, ending up in Craig, Co. awesome views, then weather! Hot 99 degrees to cool 66. Right now we are sitting in a gameroom, watching tv about Hurricane Irene, while it is storming all around us. Good day for us but worried about all of our east coast friends, especially in Long Beach. Stay safe!

Colorado, finally

We have seen the last of Kansas, forever, if i get my way. Or view it from the sky as we fly over!!! Just getting to the Coloradp border energizes us again. We took turns napping in Kansas, hoping to pass the time.

crossing the country

Kentucky, Illinois, Missouri, Kansas, endless Kansas. Made it to Topeka last night. Stayed at Lake Shawnee Campground. it was after dark when we set up but still grilled steaks and took a walk by the lake. Drove out again before 7, but hey motivated to see a mountain.

getting ready for 2011 trip
